The Winery

Alzante does not currently have a tasting room or a true brick and mortar winery but their wines can be purchased on line and at several local restaurants.

The Vineyards

These wines of Alzante are made from vineyards throughout Amador and El Dorado County.

The Wines

The Quarrys pride themselves on their Tuscan wines. Their Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Barbera have all been award winners and help accentuate the recent acknowledgement that this area of the foothills is well suited to these specific Italian varietals.

The Winemaker

Brothers Patrick and Rick Quarry discovered a passion for winemaking from a roommate of Rick’s and decided to open their own winery. Although still working in other professions, they are part time winemakers as they prepare for retirements from careers in other disciplines.
