The Winery

The Winery Cantiga Wineworks, founded by Rich & Christine Rorden, specializes in classically styled wines suited to the dinner table, and to extended cellaring. The tasting room is located on Highway E16 just south of the intersection of Buck’s Bar Road, Grizzly Flat Road and E16. Cantiga's new Estate tasting room, scheduled to open some time in 2008, is located 1/2 mile down Grizzly Flat Road, on Meyers Lane.

The Vineyards

In addition to 5 acres of Estate vineyard, the winery buys its grapes from a number of Sierra Foothill and Central Coast vineyards allowing for a diverse selection of varieties and blends.

The Wines

The winery prides itself on producing wines from grapes which are characterized by the region they are grown in. They take advantage of the family winemaking experience in Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah making small handcrafted batches with as little handling of the fruit as possible.

The Winemaker

Rich Rorden uses an old, "minimal intervention" technique seldom seen today to achieve his unique style.
