The Winery

Owners Steve & Marsha Burch operate a tasting room and gift shop in historic downtown Grass Valley. The tasting room is beautifully done in a modern style but manages to embrace the quaint, historic feel of downtown Grass Valley. Besides wine, the tasting room has assorted wine-related gifts for sale.

The Vineyards

The Burchs believe that good wine can only come from good grapes. With that in mind, the estate purchases grapes from throughout California and the foothills, including Monterey and Napa Counties, selecting only the best grapes from the appropriate terroir.

The Wines

The winery specializes in Rhone and Bordeaux varietal wines. They produce these wines under two distinct labels; Burch Hall and Coyoteville. Burch Hall is used for their best varietal wines and Coyoteville is used for the blended wines made more in a European style.

The Winemaker

Steven Burch is owner and winemaker at Burch Hall & Coyoteville Winery. Steven received a degree in Viticulture & Enology from the University of California at Davis. Prior to opening Burch Hall, he worked as a Research Winemaker at Mondavi/Woodbridge and assistant winemaker at Flora Springs Winery in Napa.
