The Winery
The winery is located on thirteen acres in the Camino region of El Dorado County, but has no tasting facility on site. Tasting is offered in an industrial park located in the small town of Diamond Springs, sharing the facility with Cash and Carry Foods.
The Vineyards
There are no vineyards located at the estate. The winery instead purchases grapes from throughout the Foothills region.
The Wines
Di Vittorio produces not only wines, but grape brandy used as the fortifying agent for many of the Port style wines produced locally. The winery produces four of these style wines themselves with a base of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Orange Muscat and Black Muscat. They produce a wonderfully complex Tempranillo done in a lighter, more European style, with a lower alcohol level of just under 13%.
The Winemaker
Estate owners Al and Sally di Vittorio are medical professionals who learned a love for winemaking from Al’s father. Sally has supplemented this hands-on training with winemaking classes at the University of California, Davis.
