The Winery

The winery is located on the site of the Batten home and estate, a gold rush estate built in 1867. The tasting room is located in the barrel room, and has a great supply of fun Irish gift items for sale. There is a lawn area, picnic tables, and a pond where one can relax and enjoy a bottle of wine amongst lovely local foothill views.

The Vineyards

The tasting room and winery are surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of the old Batten estate. The Irish family has planted several of the eight acres of farmland to vineyards for use in the estate wines.

The Wines

The winery has a little fun with their Irish theme, and has created a white wine blend that is colored green. This is a local favorite and sells out quickly. The winemaker's signature wine is a bold, jammy, nicely structured Petite Sirah. The winery also produces a wonderfully fruity Cabernet Franc that is well worth trying.

The Winemaker

The owners of Irish Vineyards are Russell and Joan Irish, who pursued dreams of owning a winery and raising their children in a rural atmosphere. Russell Irish takes on the winemaking duties at the estate.
