The Winery

The Mediterranean influenced tasting room and winery is located on a stone terraced hilltop, with beautiful gardens and a wonderful view of the local foothill region. The winery offers a unique twist on the tasting method, allowing tasting on the terrace. The tasting includes tasting notes and special "pairings" to enhance the experience. The co-owners of the winery have been big supporters of many deserving charities including Breast Cancer Research, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, and Music in the Mountains, to name just a few. The entire driveway to the winery is paved.

The Vineyards

The winery has 4 ½ acres of grapes planted on the estate. In addition, select grapes are purchased from local vineyards and vineyards throughout the Foothills.

The Wines

The winery creates wines under two distinctly different labels; Peak A Boo and Pilot Peak. The Pilot Peak wines tend to be bigger in body and varietal characteristics. The Peak A Boo wines are lighter and very fruit forward in style. The winery’s award winning Syrah is a perfect example of the Pilot Peak brand, with its deep, lush flavors, ripe black fruit, and full body.

The Winemaker

The winemaker at Pilot Peak is co-owner Lynn Wilson, an Aeronautical Engineer by training. To build his winemaking skills, Wilson completed course work at the University of California at Davis, and worked alongside consulting winemaker Derek Irwin.
